Southern Contracts saw the first of two batches of Electrolux Professional machines packed and ready to depart this week, destined for HMS Collingwood’s training base in Fareham.

HMS Collingwood is a ‘stone frigate’ (the term used for a Royal Navy shore establishment) and is the lead establishment of the Maritime Warfare School. It is the largest naval training organisation in Western Europe. The School is a federated training site encompassing HMS Excellent, the Defence Diving School, the Royal Navy Physical Training School, the School of Hydrography and Meteorology in Plymouth, and the Royal Marines School of Music in Portsmouth’s Naval Base. As you can imagine, with so many personnel involved, there is a great need to keep their uniforms in pristine condition at all times.

The order comprised many WN6-20 washers with their huge 180 ltr drum volume and easy loading 650 mm drum diameter, and TD6-14 and TD6-20 heat pump dryers with 14 and 20kgs capacities.
