Harvey was very lucky with the weather last week when he visited A&P’s shipyard in Falmouth to service the galley and laundry equipment onboard RFA ARGUS.
The Argus, a Royal Fleet Auxiliary “RFA” ship is operated by the Ministry of Defence under the Blue Ensign. Italian built, she started life as a container ship named MV Contender Bezant, and was requisitioned in 1982 for service in the Falklands War.
Following that, she went to the Gulf War when she was fitted out as a fully functional hospital as a Primary Casualty Receiving Ship (PCRS).
With her commission extending past 2030, she has now been converted for her new role and in October last year, RFA Argus started her deployment to serve as part of the Littoral Response Group.
