We’re so delighted to now be working with @hxexpeditions (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) as a new client – especially as this year marks 130 years of them transporting travellers around the world; established in 1896.
So far we’ve provided them with lots of spare parts for laundry, catering and public areas for use on four of their beautiful ships:
MS Fridtjof Nansen
Named in homage to Norwegian Explorer, #fridtjofnansen, this is one of two fully hybrid ships in their fleet. She brings comfort to some of the world’s most spectacular destinations, on board one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships in the world.
MS Spitsbergen
Named after the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago, MS #Spitsbergen embodies the history of Hurtigruten’s 1896 ‘Sports Route’ between mainland Norway and Svalbard. She is a modern and environmentally progressive ship, perfect for exploring off-the-beaten-track.
MS Fram
With its fresh new look, the MS Fram has superior upgraded cabins and a state-of-the-art Science Centre, all designed to bring their passengers even closer to the wild, remote destinations #HX explore. With space for 250 guests, MS Fram was originally built for polar travel, carrying on the spirit of the legendary Norwegian exploration vessel that once drifted through Arctic ice under the great explorer Fridtjof Nansen.
MS Roald Amundsen
MS Roald Amundsen is as pioneering as the man it is named after, #RoaldAmundsen – the legendary Norwegian explorer. This is the other of the two fully hybrid ships in HX’s fleet, on board which passengers can explore the wonders of the world secure in the knowledge it is one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships in the world.
We’re very much looking forward to working with them again in future. Welcome to the Southern Contracts’ family!
